A bus accident took place near the Medarapalli checkpoint in Annamayya district on Tuesday. The bus, which was carrying 30 passengers, collided with a lorry that was loaded with cement. The crash happened as the bus was passing through Ramapuram Mandal.
Thirty people were injured in the accident. The police quickly brought the injured passengers to government hospitals in Kadapa and Rayachoti for treatment.
The accident caused a traffic jam because both the bus and the lorry were stuck together after the collision. A JCB machine was used by authorities to separate the vehicles and clear the road.
This accident comes after a deadly crash in Chittoor district, which took the lives of eight people. These incidents are raising concerns about road safety in Andhra Pradesh.
