In Wanaparthy district, early this morning, three women were caught transporting liquor illegally on an RTC bus in Veepanagandla mandal. Authorities received a tip about the illegal transport, prompting them to monitor the road to Sampat Rao Palli village.
Upon inspection, officials discovered the women with a significant amount of liquor. They arrested Rathlawat Lakshmi, Mudawat Soni, and Rathlawat Rupli, seizing 33.75 liters of illicit liquor. A case has been filed, according to Excise CI Karuna. She emphasized that RTC bus drivers and conductors must be vigilant about passenger belongings, as using public transport for illegal activities is prohibited.
Excise SI CH Prithviraj, along with constables Thirumalesh, Janardhan, and Vishnuvardhan, were involved in the operation.
