Hyderabad: A six-year-old girl was kidnapped from a toddy compound in Shamshabad. The incident happened on July 1, but it was reported to RGIA police on Monday night.
Lakshmamma, a 30-year-old rag picker, was traveling to her hometown, Mahbubnagar, with her daughters, Keerthana (6) and Archana (3). They stopped at a toddy compound, where an unknown woman approached them. While Lakshmamma became drowsy, the woman took Keerthana away.
The police reviewed CCTV footage showing the suspect leaving with the girl. Officers are now checking nearby cameras and possible escape routes to find the woman who took Keerthana.
