Hyderabad: Over the last two weeks, Rachakonda She Teams caught 185 people, including 46 minors, for bothering women in different areas of the Commissionerate. They filed criminal and minor cases against the offenders, who then attended counselling sessions.
Officials reported receiving 215 complaints through direct reports, WhatsApp, and social media from places like metro stations, bus stops, workplaces, and colleges in Rachakonda between June 16 and 30. Everyone caught was required to go to counselling sessions led by trained counsellors and psychologists at the Police Commissioner’s camp office in LB Nagar.
Additionally, five individuals were caught in undercover operations on metro trains and other spots, leading to fines.
At the same time, the Rachakonda Police, alongside self-help groups, held awareness programs about the harmful effects of child marriages.
