Jogulamba Gadwal district is preparing for the grand distribution of double-bedroom houses on September 6.
District Collector B.M. Santosh and local MLA Bandla Krishnamohan Reddy inspected the housing project at the Collectorate on Tuesday. The State Minister for Revenue, Housing, and Information & Public Relations will attend the event to hand over the title deeds to selected families.
The housing colony, located at Paramala outskirts, cost ₹85 crore. It includes 1,275 houses, with 715 ready for distribution.
The Collector instructed officials to ensure water, electricity, sanitation, and festive decorations for the event. He emphasized repairing roads, completing painting, and cleaning the area. Special focus is on H3 Block, where the inauguration will happen. Arrangements for parking and food are also in place for guests.
After the review meeting, the Collector and MLA visited the site. They directed officials to clean and beautify the colony before the Minister’s visit.
Additional Collector Narsing Rao, Housing PD Srinivasa Rao, RDO Alivelu, and other officials from Electricity, Panchayat Raj, Mission Bhagiratha, R&B departments, and more were present at the review.
