Gadwal witnessed a significant protest on Tuesday led by BRS Gadwal Constituency In-charge Basu Hanumanthu Naidu. Supporters gathered at Krishnaveni Chowk wearing black badges. They blocked the road and shouted slogans like “Khabbardar Revanth Reddy” to defend the Kaleshwaram Project.
Basu Hanumanthu Naidu criticized the Ghosh Commission report, labeling it inaccurate. He accused the Congress and BJP of attempting to tarnish the project developed by KCR. He claimed that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Prime Minister Narendra Modi were trying to redirect Telangana’s water resources to Andhra Pradesh.
Naidu condemned the decision to involve the CBI in investigating the Kaleshwaram Project. He saw this as an affront to Telangana’s farmers, emphasizing that KCR’s project brought pride by channeling Godavari waters for irrigation across vast lands. Naidu assured that despite any plots by the Congress, BRS was ready to counter them.
Several notable individuals participated in the protest, including Nagar Doddi Venkata Ramulu, Chakradhar Rao, J. Raghavendra Reddy, Atukuri Rehman, Ganjipeta Raju, and many other party leaders, workers, and youth members.
