Kagaznagar: Police arrested eight people for running a matka gambling operation in the town on Saturday evening.
Officers received a tip about illegal matka gambling happening near the Market Area and Gandhi Park in Kagaznagar. They conducted a raid and caught eight individuals involved in the activity. The police confiscated Rs 5,240 in cash. Legal cases have been filed against those apprehended, and investigations are ongoing.
Inspector Prem Kumar issued a strong warning. He stated that anyone caught participating in online or offline matka, satta, card games, or any illegal activities will face severe legal consequences.
