Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Cybercrime Police recently solved 11 cybercrime cases within a week, apprehending 15 individuals across various states. Their investigation uncovered a nationwide network of cybercriminals.
The cases were identified between July 29 and August 4. Among the 15 people arrested, 12 were involved in trading fraud, 2 in gaming fraud, and 1 in business fraud. Authorities confiscated 14 mobile phones, debit cards, Aadhaar cards, PAN cards, SIM cards, and business stamps.
Cybercrime police advise the public to be wary of trading and investment scams that promise high returns. Always verify any financial transaction before sending money. Be cautious of urgent requests for money or personal information, like Aadhaar numbers, bank account details, or OTPs. Confirm the source of any communication with the appropriate authorities or organizations.
Be alert when receiving links via messaging apps like WhatsApp, Telegram, or email. Report any cyber fraud immediately by calling 1930 or visiting www.cybercrime.gov.in.
