Hyderabad: KIMS Hospitals has achieved a significant milestone by introducing Tulsa-Pro, a groundbreaking treatment for prostate issues, from the Philippines to Turkey. This innovative method addresses localized prostate cancer and enlargement without surgery.

The procedure is performed as a day-care service, requiring no incisions or stitches. Patients can leave the hospital the same day. So far, 13 patients, including individuals from Bahrain, Dubai, and Mauritius, have undergone this treatment successfully. This is the first use of Tulsa-Pro technology in India and throughout Southeast Asia.

Tulsa-Pro stands for Transurethral Ultrasound Ablation of the Prostate. Guided by MRI, it uses ultrasound to remove prostate tissue through the urethra. The result is a less invasive option compared to traditional surgery or radiation, and it helps preserve sexual health.
