Government Whip and Vemulawada MLA Adi Srinivas visited Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy at his home in Hyderabad on Tuesday. He asked for funds to support several projects in his area. The Chief Minister acted quickly, instructing officials to release the necessary money.
Srinivas mentioned that Rs 10 crore was already approved for building the right and left canals of the Kalikota Sooramma reservoir in Kathalapur, Medipalli, and Bheemaram areas, which often face flooding. He explained that with more funds, these projects could irrigate 43,000 acres of land. CM Revanth Reddy had previously visited the project site when he was the TPCC president.
Srinivas also updated the CM about the Chandurthi–Motkaravupeta road. Forest approvals for this road are secured, and the State has approved over Rs 7 crore for it. He noted that an extra Rs 10 crore would finish the road, improving village connections significantly.
Emphasizing the need for new bridges over Moolavagu and Pentivagu streams in Konaraopet, Srinivas suggested building bridges at Bausaipet–Venkatraopet, Mamidipelli–Nizamabad, Vattimalla–Nimmapelli, and Venkatraopet–Kondapur. The CM promised these projects would proceed under the HAM (Hybrid Annuity Model) scheme.
Srinivas stated, “I always focus on securing funds for my constituency’s welfare. With the CM’s commitment, these projects should advance quickly.”
