Gratitude to Party Workers

KTR began by thanking every party worker who worked tirelessly despite facing difficulties. “I thank by name every single person who endured hardships and worked hard. Local Jubilee Hills party ranks and leaders also worked hard at every booth. I thank all of them,” he said.

He also congratulated the BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha, noting that despite lacking political experience, she fought hard and campaigned vigorously for victory in the election.

Thanks to the Voters

KTR expressed gratitude to every voter who cast their ballot for the party in the Jubilee Hills election, stating that the party recorded a significant vote percentage in the polls.

“We contest every election to win. For the past two years, as the main opposition, our party has honestly and sincerely fought in raising public issues,” he said.

Surveys Predicted BRS Victory

The BRS leader pointed out that “every survey agency said BRS would win” in their pre-poll predictions. He stated that this election gave the party new enthusiasm and new strength.

“Through this election, people have given a verdict that Bharat Rashtra Samithi is the clear alternative. The party views this as a positive aspect,” KTR said.

Historical Context of By-Elections

KTR provided a historical perspective, noting that seven by-elections were held from 2014 to 2023, and the then-opposition Congress party did not win a single by-election. Even in the Greater Hyderabad elections, Congress was limited to just one or two seats.

“Despite not winning a single by-election and losing deposits, the then-opposition party came to power,” he observed, suggesting that by-election defeats don’t determine overall political fortunes.

Campaign Strategy

The BRS leader emphasized that the party strongly highlighted government failures, the implementation of the six guarantees, and government deceptions to the people.

“We did not do politics in the name of caste or religion. We only discussed issues relevant to people in our campaign,” KTR said, adding that while government representatives used abusive language, BRS remained dignified during the campaign.

Development Record Showcased

KTR stated that as a party that governed for 10 years, BRS showcased its development work, presenting ₹5,300 crore worth of development in the constituency to the people.

“We took every issue that Congress failed on to the people in the form of a ‘pending card’. From HYDRA to auto drivers’ problems, we campaigned to inform people about numerous issues,” he said.

Pressure on the Government

The BRS leader claimed the party’s pressure forced the government to act: “Due to our pressure, we brought the Chief Minister and state government to a stage where they had to review the implementation of guarantees.”

He noted that when BRS raised its voice about lack of minority representation in the cabinet and injustice to auto drivers, the government yielded to pressure and had to provide them positions.

Election Irregularities Alleged

KTR raised serious concerns about how the election was conducted, stating there is a need for discussion among the public and media.

“We told a month before about how many types of irregularities the Congress party committed. We filed numerous complaints with the Election Commission about fake votes for the candidate’s brother, distribution of fake voter cards, and irregularities from the schedule announcement to polling day,” he said.

However, he questioned the Election Commission and police performance, stating that discussion is needed on how elections were conducted.

Congress-BJP Collusion Alleged

In a significant political charge, KTR stated: “In this election, it appears that BJP-Congress collaborative politics has worked. The RS Brothers equation seems to have worked out well.”

He noted that the BJP lost its deposit with a single-digit vote share, suggesting strategic cooperation between the two parties against BRS.

BRS Remains Main Opposition

KTR declared that after the Parliament elections, people have proven that only BRS is the alternative.

“We will not be disappointed by the election result. We will continue to work as the main opposition. We will be with the people, for the people, and among the people,” he said.

Pledge to Continue Fight

The BRS Working President made a strong commitment: “We will continue to fight until we make KCR garu the Chief Minister again.”

“For the past two years, we have been exposing the numerous anarchies, illegalities, and corruption committed by the Congress party starting from lagcharla. We will continue to work as the main opposition party and move forward in the same manner,” KTR concluded.
