The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has criticized the decision of the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) to change the exam timings for Class 10 pre-final exams due to Ramzan.

According to the ABVP Telangana unit, the education department recently announced that the exam timings would be shifted from 12:15 PM to 3:15 PM. The department cited Ramzan as the reason for this change.

However, the ABVP and several parents, along with medical experts, have raised concerns about the extreme heat during these hours. They believe that the decision puts students’ well-being at risk and is influenced by political interests rather than student welfare.

The ABVP has strongly opposed this decision and questioned its relevance to the exam schedule. They have demanded an explanation from the Minister of Education, Revanth Reddy. The student organization has also urged education officials to clarify which experts recommended holding exams during the hottest part of the afternoon when students usually prepare for lunch.
