In Vijayawada, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) carried out a raid on the home of Jogi Ramesh. Ramesh is a former minister and member of the YSR Congress Party. The raid took place in Ibrahimpatnam, located in the NTR district of Andhra Pradesh. It began at 5 am on Tuesday and involved 15 ACB officers. They were investigating claims of irregularities related to Agri Gold land transactions.

Ramesh is accused of buying and selling land linked to Agri Gold that had been seized by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). There are also allegations that survey numbers were altered in Ambapuram, Vijayawada Rural, to allow the registration of Agri Gold land in his name.

The ACB received complaints specifically about Ramesh’s role in the Agri Gold land scam. The case includes nine individuals, with Ramesh and his family members identified as A1 and A2. Several government officials are also implicated. The CID had previously filed cases against those accused.

Currently, ACB officials are reviewing records and documents related to the case. This is not the first time Ramesh has been investigated. He also faces charges related to a raid on Chandrababu Naidu’s residence and another Agri Gold land dispute. Last month, the Director General of Police ordered an inquiry into the land dispute, leading to the ACB’s involvement.
