Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary’s suspension to be discussed in Lok Sabha’s Privileges Committee meeting on August 30

The suspension of Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary was discussed at a meeting on Friday. The committee may summon him to testify on August 30, but the final decision on the date has not been made yet.

On August 10, Chowdhary was suspended from the House for using abusive language about Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a discussion in the Lok Sabha. His case was referred to the House’s Privileges Committee. The investigation of his behavior in the House is considered a matter of House privilege, and he will remain suspended until the committee’s report is received.
