A woman and her lover were found dead in Telangana’s Adilabad district. The woman, Ashwini, was 28 years old and married with two young children. She had separated from her husband a few months ago and was staying with her parents. She was in a relationship with Mohammad Rehman, who was 19 years old.
The couple had been missing since Friday, and their bodies were found on Sunday in Seethagondi hamlet. The bodies were identified by police, and they had been brutally killed with stones. Police suspect that the couple was murdered on the same day they went missing. Their scooter was found near the crime scene.
Preliminary investigations suggest that Ashwini’s extramarital relationship with Rehman was the motive behind the murder. Police suspect that Ramesh’s family, Ashwini’s husband, killed the couple. Few suspects were being questioned by police.
The bodies have been shifted to Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Adilabad for autopsy. Police have registered a case and are conducting further investigations.
