The State government of Hyderabad has appointed three advisors and a special representative. Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari released government orders regarding this. Vem Narender Reddy will be the advisor to the Chief Minister, Mohammed Ali Shabbir will serve as the advisor to the SC, ST, BC, and Minority Welfare departments. Mallu Ravi will be the State government’s special representative in New Delhi, and Harakara Venugopal has been appointed as the government advisor to Protocol and Public Relations. All four have been given the rank and status of Minister.
All the leaders are close aides of Revanth Reddy. Shabbir Ali, a former minister and leader of opposition in the Legislative Council, had sacrificed his seat to clear the way for the Chief Minister in the previous elections. Mallu Ravi is a doctor by profession and a two-time MP from Nagarkurnool. Harkara Venugopal is the PCC chief coordinator for the party digital membership drive and vice president. He led a successful digital membership drive, enrolling 43 lakh members and negotiated with insurance companies for their benefits. Vem Narender Reddy, a former MLA, has been close to the Chief Minister since their time in the TDP.
These appointments have put an end to concerns about Muslim leaders being ignored.
