In Amaravati, the capital of Andhra Pradesh, aerial images show widespread flooding across the region. The situation has become serious, with large parts of the city submerged under water.

A tweet brought attention to the severity of the flooding, saying, “From the sky, it looks as if most of Amaravati is flooded.” The tweet also mentioned that several streams above the Amaravati layout seem congested and are unable to drain into the Krishna River. This blockage is worsening the flooding situation.

Images comparing the region on August 20, 2024, and September 1, 2024, show a significant rise in water levels. The flooding is raising major concerns among residents and officials, as the blocked streams are causing more severe waterlogging in the area. This has made the situation even more challenging for everyone involved.
