Rangareddy has seen a sharp rise in patients with seasonal illnesses after a week of heavy rain. Hospitals and clinics in the district are receiving many people with fever, headaches, runny noses, nausea, and vomiting. Doctors say these symptoms are common for seasonal diseases affecting both children and adults.
In response, the district administration is taking action to stop the spread of these illnesses, especially in rural areas where cases are high. District Collector C. Narayan Reddy held a video conference on Friday and urged officials to implement proper measures to control health problems. He instructed ASHA workers and ANMs to conduct door-to-door surveys to identify those affected by these illnesses.
The Collector emphasized the importance of sanitation and public health. He called for efforts to prevent disease outbreaks, particularly in villages and towns. He also stressed the need to control mosquitoes, especially in water stagnation areas, through regular bleaching, chlorination, fogging, and spraying.
Medical and Panchayat Raj departments were asked to set up medical camps in high-risk areas and work together to combat diseases like dengue and malaria. The Collector also directed authorities to maintain adequate medicine supplies in healthcare centers.
TRANSCO officials were instructed to quickly repair electric poles damaged by recent rains.
