Station Ghanpur MLA Kadiyam Srihari criticized former leaders for neglecting village development during their 15 years in power. He accused them of prioritizing selling positions and jobs over community progress. On Sunday, he launched development projects worth Rs 3.69 crore in several villages of Veleru mandal under the Panchayati Raj and Rural Development department as part of a “Works Festival.”
During a meeting at the mandal center, Srihari expressed his commitment to the constituency’s growth. He emphasized that his focus is solely on aiding each village and ensuring welfare schemes reach those in need. Srihari believes politics should only be active during elections, advocating for collective efforts to improve villages year-round. His goal is to ensure that every poor family benefits from government programs.
Srihari highlighted his dedication to development, honesty, and ethics, stating he has no business interests. His primary concern is the well-being of his constituency. He urged unity in enhancing villages, including tribal areas, beyond political divides. The government, he noted, is prioritizing extensive development initiatives for the poor across the state. He promised that local farmers would receive irrigation water from the Gandi Ramaram reservoir, with Godavari water available for the upcoming Yasangi season.
Additionally, Srihari announced the approval of 50 more Indiramma houses for the mandal. He also assured that the double road from Veleru to Shalapalli, Pechara, and Maddelagudem would be ready by next summer.
