Hyderabad: The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has won the Hyderabad MLC (Member of Legislative Council) election. Their candidate, Hasan, received 63 votes.
In comparison, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate, Goutham Rao, got only 25 votes. This means AIMIM won by a clear margin of 38 votes.
The election drew a lot of attention in the city, where AIMIM has a strong presence. Hasan’s victory is seen as a sign that the party still has strong support from local voters.
