Commemorating the ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ on the 148th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Air Force Station Hakimpet in Hyderabad organized a marathon run on October 31. The run was divided into three categories – 21km, 10km, and 5km. The event was flagged off by Padmashree Shri Chintala Venkat Reddy, an organic farmer from Telangana. Over 1800 participants took part in the run.
The run saw enthusiastic participation from various groups including sister services, para-military forces, civilian organizations, private companies, and Air Warriors and families of Air Force Station Hakimpet. This diverse attendance aimed to promote unity, friendship, team spirit, and camaraderie among the participants.
The winners of the run were honored by Air Commodore Pankaj Jain, Air Officer Commanding at Air Force Station Hakimpet.
