Hyderabad – During the ongoing Telangana Legislative Assembly Winter Sessions, AIMIM MLA Akbar Owaisi made a candid statement about the challenges of driving in Hyderabad, calling it the “toughest job” in the city.

The AIMIM legislator shared his personal experience of struggling to drive in the city when his driver was on Christmas leave. Despite using an automatic car, Owaisi found it extremely difficult to navigate the city’s roads even for a single day.

“When my driver was on Christmas leave, I couldn’t manage to drive even for a day in Hyderabad. Despite using an automatic car, it was a struggle,” said the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) MLA during the assembly proceedings.

The legislator highlighted the chaotic traffic situation in Hyderabad, emphasizing that traffic rules are rarely followed by motorists. He pointed out that vehicles approach from all directions without any sense of discipline, making driving a hazardous experience.

“No one follows traffic rules. Vehicles come from all sides without discipline,” Owaisi stated, expressing his concerns about road safety in the state capital.

The MLA called for stricter enforcement of traffic regulations and suggested that driving licenses should not be issued to those who cannot follow basic road discipline. He emphasized the need for more stringent measures to ensure compliance with traffic laws.

“Such drivers shouldn’t be issued licenses. Traffic rules must be made much stricter,” Akbar Owaisi demanded during his address in the assembly.

The statement has brought attention to the ongoing traffic management issues in Hyderabad, a city that has witnessed rapid urbanization and a significant increase in the number of vehicles on its roads in recent years.

The remarks were made during the Winter Sessions of the Telangana Legislative Assembly, where various issues concerning the state’s development and governance are being discussed.

“Traffic rules must be made much stricter,” the AIMIM MLA reiterated, calling for immediate action from the authorities to address the deteriorating traffic situation in the city.
