Hyderabad will host the lively Dasara Alai-Balai celebration on October 3, 2025, starting at 10:30 a.m. at the Exhibition Grounds in Nampally. This event highlights the vibrant culture of Telangana.
Bandaru Vijaya Lakshmi, Chairperson of the Alai Balai Foundation, announced on Wednesday that this year’s gathering also honors the heroes of Operation Sindhura. A special segment will recognize the bravery and dedication of the Indian Army.
Organized by former Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, the event aims to promote unity among different communities while honoring the sacrifices of Indian soldiers.
The event will welcome several dignitaries, including the Governor of Telangana Jishnu Dev Varma and Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. Notable guests include former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, and Union Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy.
Adding star power, film star Akkineni Nagarjuna and actor Brahmanandam will be honored for their contributions to cinema and society. Other distinguished achievers will also be recognized.
Traditional Telangana festivities like Bonalu, Bathukamma, Peerla Panduga, and Gangireddula performances will be featured. Artifacts and exhibits showcasing the state’s heritage will provide attendees an immersive experience of local customs and traditions.
