Nirmal: BJP leader and Nirmal MLA Eleti Maheshwar Reddy expressed his strong disapproval over Congress State affairs in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan holding a review meeting with ministers at the Secretariat in Hyderabad.
Speaking at a press conference at his residence on Tuesday, Reddy said that the meeting about Hyderabad Central University land issues took place without involving Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. He said this shows that the Chief Minister has no real power and accused Rahul Gandhi of controlling the Telangana government from behind the scenes.
Reddy criticized Meenakshi Natarajan, saying she had earlier promised not to interfere in government matters, but now she is reviewing issues with ministers on Rahul Gandhi’s orders. He added that though the Chief Minister lives in Hyderabad, it was Meenakshi Natarajan who went to the Secretariat and took charge, making Revanth Reddy look like a “dummy CM.”
He also took aim at Congress leaders for their slogan “Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan,” saying it is only a slogan and not a real commitment to protecting the Constitution. Reddy predicted that Revanth Reddy, who he called a puppet now, would soon lose his position as Chief Minister.
BJP leaders Ravula Ramnath, Medisemma Raju, town president Akula Karthik, Sunkari Sai, former councilors Narender, Naveen, Padmakar, Satyam Chandrakant, Muthyam Reddy, Jamal, Vilas, Vijay, Thirumala Chari, Muthyam, and others were also present at the press meet.
