Union Home Minister Amit Shah and AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge are expected to visit Telangana this month ahead of the Legislative Assembly elections. Shah is scheduled to address a public meeting in Khammam on August 27. He was supposed to attend the rally in June but had to postpone due to cyclonic conditions. Kharge will release the party’s ‘SC, ST Declaration’ at a public meeting in Chevella on August 26. The Congress in Telangana is also planning to invite Sonia Gandhi to the state in September.
