Ananya A Simlai, a well-known socialite, officially opened the D Sons Patola Art Exhibition, a special four-day event celebrating traditional Indian handloom fashion. The exhibition is being held at the Labels Pop-up Space on Road No.1, Banjara Hills, right across from Taj Krishna.
This vibrant event is timed perfectly with the upcoming wedding season. It offers a rich collection of handcrafted sarees and fabrics from different parts of India. Visitors can explore a wide variety of traditional weaves, including Patola, Bandhani, Paithani, Zari Kota, Kashmiri, Kanjivaram, Chanderi, and Banarasi sarees.
One of the main attractions is the display of rare and luxurious Patan Patola sarees. The exhibition also features beautifully woven dupattas, shawls, and stunning silk tissue pieces.
Skilled silk weavers and co-operative societies from across the country have come together to showcase their best work. “It’s amazing to see so much traditional Indian craftsmanship in one place,” said Ananya A Simlai during the launch.
According to organiser Bhavin, the exhibition will remain open until April 4, 2025. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking to add timeless elegance to their wardrobe.
