    Cherukuri Ramoji Rao, the Chairman of the Eenadu Group and a Padma Vibhushan awardee, passed away on June 8. In response, the Andhra Pradesh Government has declared a two-day state mourning from June 9 to June 10. During this time, flags will be flown at half-mast and official entertainment activities will be suspended.

    The funeral for Ramoji Rao is scheduled for 9 a.m. on June 9 at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. To pay respects, the government has deputed three senior IAS officers to attend. These officers include Dr. Rajat Bhargava, G. Sai Prasad, and R. P. Sisodia.

    The decision to observe mourning and send IAS officers to the funeral was made to honor Ramoji Rao’s contributions to society, the media, and the film industry. It is a gesture of respect towards the legendary media personality.
