Telangana Endowments Minister Konda Surekha has urged Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu to ensure that the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) follows the approved guidelines for recommendation letters used for darshan.

In a statement on Tuesday, Konda Surekha expressed her gratitude to the AP Chief Minister for reinstating the recommendation letter system for Tirumala Darshan. She thanked him on behalf of Telangana’s public representatives, acknowledging his leadership in making this decision.

She highlighted that the number of devotees from Telangana visiting Tirumala has increased in recent times. Despite the division of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh into two separate states, the devotion of Telugu people has only grown stronger. She emphasized that Lord Venkateswara Swamy continues to be equally revered in both states.

According to official guidelines, Telangana MLAs, MLCs, and MPs can issue two recommendation letters per week for VIP Break Darshan (Rs 500 ticket) and two recommendation letters per week for Special Entry Darshan (Rs 300 ticket). These letters are valid for any two days between Monday and Thursday.

However, Konda Surekha raised concerns that TTD officials were not strictly following these guidelines, which was causing inconvenience to both public representatives and devotees. She requested the AP Chief Minister to intervene and instruct TTD authorities to follow the policy properly. This, she said, would ensure that devotees from Telangana have a smooth and respectful darshan experience at Tirumala.
