    Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has stated that the Assembly elections in the state are likely to be held in March or April 2024, ruling out the possibility of early elections. He addressed over 8,500 party members at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation Stadium to prepare for the elections and counter the opposition’s negative propaganda against the YSRCP Government.

    Jagan announced that the YSRCP will release its election manifesto in February 2024. He also mentioned the launch of the “Why AP Needs Jagan” program on November 1, 2023, which will run until December 10. Additionally, leaders from different communities will embark on a bus yatra from October 25 to December 31, covering all three regions of the state.

    Jagan emphasized the revolutionary changes brought about in Andhra Pradesh in the last 52 months. He highlighted the introduction of the secretariat system at the village level and the promotion of social justice from local bodies to the cabinet. He also mentioned the equal treatment given to all communities and regions.

    Explaining the decision to have three capitals, Jagan stated that it was made to protect the self-respect of each region in the state. He also mentioned the creation of 13 new districts, bringing the total to 26, to facilitate the delivery of government schemes. Jagan emphasized that his government has fulfilled 99 percent of the promises made in their manifesto.

    Jagan further highlighted the welfare measures undertaken by his government, including the implementation of Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). He stated that Rs 2.35 lakh crore has been transferred through DBT into beneficiaries’ bank accounts. He also mentioned the distribution of nearly 31 lakh house site pattas and houses to women beneficiaries under the “Navaratnalu-Pedalandariki Illu” scheme to empower women economically, socially, and politically.
