Shadnagar MLA Y. Anjaiah Yadav introduced the Arogya Lakshmi scheme to prevent malnutrition at Nandigama Primary Health Centre. The scheme targets pregnant women, children under six years old, and infants. It provides essential resources such as nutritious meals and iron and folic acid tablets. This helps to fulfill their nutritional requirements and combat anemia among women. The Telangana government initiated the scheme, and it has already made a positive impact on impoverished women.

During the programme, the MLA emphasized the primary goal of the scheme, which is to prevent malnutrition among pregnant women and children.
