Priyanka Josyula made a significant milestone as a Kuchipudi dancer with her solo debut at the CESS Auditorium in Ameerpet, Hyderabad on Saturday. She is the first from Singapore to achieve this.

This solo performance marks the end of many years of hard training and dedication. Priyanka studied under Guru Dr. Nishitha Yabaji at the Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society.

The event, known as Rangapravesam, means “ascending the stage” in Sanskrit. It is a respected tradition in Kuchipudi, a classical dance from Andhra Pradesh. This debut highlights a dancer’s skill in technique, expression, and storytelling.
