Mahabubnagar MP DK Aruna has launched a strong attack on the Congress party, accusing it of misusing the caste census for political advantage ahead of elections.

Speaking to reporters, DK Aruna claimed that Congress is spreading lies about its role in the caste census. “They couldn’t even complete their own caste census properly,” she said. “Half the population didn’t participate, and now they act like they succeeded. It’s embarrassing.”

She made it clear that the decision to carry out the caste enumeration was made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government, not because of any pressure from the opposition. “Saying that the BJP is just following Congress is completely false,” she stated.

Aruna went further, accusing Congress of using the caste count as a way to win over Muslim votes. She described it as a deliberate move to push for religion-based reservations and to include Muslims under the Backward Classes (BC) category. “That would be a betrayal of the real backward communities,” she warned.

She also demanded transparency from the state government regarding the distribution of Indiramma houses under the MP quota. “Each MLA is reportedly getting 3,500 houses. I want to know how many are being given to my MP constituency, which covers seven Assembly segments,” she said.

DK Aruna warned that if the houses are distributed based on party loyalty and not merit, she and her supporters will protest. “We will hit the streets with the deserving beneficiaries if there’s any unfairness,” she vowed.
