AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi challenged Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to contest from Hyderabad instead of Wayanad in Kerala during the Lok Sabha elections. Speaking at a party event, Asad said that more national leaders from the Congress would visit Telangana as the Assembly elections approached. He dared Rahul Gandhi to contest from Hyderabad and have a contest there.

Asad also credited the ruling BRS for maintaining a peaceful atmosphere in the city without any communal incidents. He blamed the historical riots in Hyderabad on the Congress administration. Asad proudly mentioned voting against the Women’s Bill in Parliament, accusing the Congress of supporting the bill despite its flaws.
