Hyderabad: AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi has strongly condemned the recent attacks on Iran, calling them absolutely condemnable and expressing deep concern over the escalating violence in the region. Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the Hyderabad MP criticized the strikes carried out by Trump-Israel on Iranian territory, particularly highlighting the timing of these attacks during ongoing talks between Iran and the United States in Geneva.
According to Owaisi’s statement, more than 200 people have been killed across Iran in these attacks, including 108 victims who lost their lives when strikes hit a girls’ school. The AIMIM leader described the assassination of Ayatollah Khamenei as an immoral and unlawful act, offering his sincere condolences to the victims and their families. He emphasized that such attacks must stop immediately to prevent the entire region from descending into further instability.
Owaisi drew attention to the significant Indian diaspora in the region, reminding that 10 million Indians work in this area. He warned that continued aggression could have serious implications for regional stability and the safety of Indian workers. The parliamentarian also drew a parallel between Israel’s attack on Iran and Pakistan’s attack on Afghanistan, stating that both nations are forces of aggression and mischief in their respective neighborhoods.
The Hyderabad MP concluded his statement with verses from Urdu poetry, which read: “Mout Ki Lekin Dil-e-Dana Ko Kuch Parwa Nahin, Shab Ki Khamoshi Mein Juz Hangama-e-Farda Nahin.” He further added: “Mout Ko Samjhe Hain Ghafil Ikhtitam-e-Zindagi, Hai Ye Sham-e-Zindagi Subah-e-Dawam-e-Zindagi.”
The statement comes at a time when tensions in the Middle East have reached critical levels, with multiple stakeholders involved in the conflict. Owaisi’s remarks reflect growing concerns among Indian political leaders about the impact of regional instability on Indian citizens working abroad and the broader implications for peace in the area.
The AIMIM President has been vocal about international affairs, particularly those affecting Muslim-majority nations and regions where significant Indian populations reside. His call for an immediate cessation of attacks underscores the urgency of diplomatic intervention to prevent further loss of civilian lives and maintain regional peace.
