ATM burglars use gas cutter to steal 30 lakh in Maheshwaram

Four men broke into an ATM in Maheshwaram and stole ₹30 lakh in cash. The theft happened late at night on Sunday. The criminals arrived in a white car and covered their faces, heads, and hands. To break open the ATM, they used a gas cutter. They took the money from the ATM cassettes.

The bank manager reported the crime. The ATM belonged to the Ravirala Branch of a public sector bank. At 2:13 am on Sunday, she received an alert from the bank’s security system about an ATM breach. By the time she reached the location, the burglars had already escaped. The bank’s deputy manager confirmed that the thieves used a gas cutter to cut open the ATM and stole ₹29.69 lakh.

After discovering the theft, the bank officials contacted the police. Officers reviewed CCTV footage from the ATM. The video showed the suspects arriving in a car. They first checked for security cameras outside and sprayed something on them to block the recording. Then, they used a gas cutter to break open the machine. The burglars also used a crowbar to pry the ATM open. They completed the crime in less than 10 minutes and fled in the same car.
