AYUSH department provides clarification on house surgeons’ stipends

Director M Prashanti IAS stated that the matter is now sub-judice before the court. The Supreme Court issued interim orders and notices to the respondents. The government’s decision to enhance stipends is being reviewed.

The clarification was issued in response to a news article published on April 10, 2024. The Director of AYUSH provided details about the legal proceedings and emphasized that the matter is currently under review by the Supreme Court.
