Hyderabad is set to host the 9th Babul Eco Film Festival (BEFF) from June 1 to June 10, in celebration of World Environment Day. Organized by the NGO Babul, this 10-day event will focus on the urgent theme of “Ending Plastic Pollution.”
The festival will take place at multiple locations throughout the city. It aims to raise awareness through powerful environmental films, interactive nature games, and engaging activities designed for people of all ages and backgrounds.
Participants can also join competitions, including a short film contest centered on environmental issues. The deadline to submit films is May 15. Creators are encouraged to explore any topic related to environmental protection.
“Alongside the film screenings, we want to create a space where everyone can connect with nature and learn how to protect it,” said Gangadhar Panday, President of Babul NGO.
