A 6-month-old boy who was kidnapped from Niloufer Hospital in Nampally last week has been rescued. The Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force central zone team, along with Nampally police, found the baby in Banswada, Kamareddy district on Wednesday.

The parents of the kidnapped child, Fareeda and Salman Khan, had brought their two children to Niloufer Hospital for treatment. The accused persons, Mamtha and Srinivas, had lost their two previous sons to a genetic disease. When they had a third child who was also diagnosed with the same disease, they decided to kidnap a healthy baby from the hospital.

Mamtha befriended Fareeda and then took the opportunity to kidnap the baby, leaving her own child behind. The kidnappers fled to Kamareddy district. However, the Task Force team and Nampally police successfully apprehended them in Banswada. The baby was reunited with his parents, and the kidnappers were arrested and remanded.
