The Balapur Laddu Auction in Hyderabad will have 36 participants bidding for the sacred laddu. These bidders are from different districts, including a realtor from Khammam Ganesh who is willing to bid up to Rs one crore. The laddu, which was previously auctioned for Rs 24.6 lakhs, is expected to fetch an even higher price this time.
The bidders believe that the laddu brings prosperity and helps in business growth, which is why there is a lot of excitement surrounding it. In previous auctions, realtors and farmers have been the winners, who then distribute the laddu among their families and sprinkle it on their farm lands for good crop yields.
In Nalgonda district, a laddu was recently auctioned for Rs 36 lakhs and was won by a follower of MLA K Bhupal Reddy. It will be interesting to see if the Balapur Laddu surpasses this milestone.
