Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, criticized the BRS and Congress parties for their comments about the Centre neglecting Telangana in the Union Budget for 2024-25.

He stated on Tuesday that Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has presented an excellent budget. This budget aims to promote both development and welfare in a balanced way.

According to Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the budget lays the foundation for Modi’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat,’ which aims to make India a developed country by 2047.

He highlighted that the budget allocates Rs 11.50 lakh crore for boosting the infrastructure sector. This shows the Centre’s dedication to the country’s development. The budget benefits various groups, including common people, farmers, women, and middle-class individuals, as well as industrialists. It focuses on providing one crore houses and creating employment for four crore youth.

Additionally, he mentioned that Rs 1.50 lakh crore has been allocated to agriculture and related sectors. This demonstrates the Modi government’s commitment to farmers and the agriculture sector.

Lastly, Bandi Sanjay Kumar said that the criticisms from BRS and Congress leaders are baseless. The Centre has allocated funds for developing 150 backward districts across India, including Telangana. He assured that this will become clear in the department-wise budget allocations.
