    The Reserve Bank of India plans bank holidays in August. Most state banks will be open during the month except on second Saturdays and Sundays. In August 2023, all banks will be closed for 8 days, including four Sundays, second and fourth Saturdays, Independence Day, and Raksha Bandhan. These are the only gazetted holidays that banks observe nationwide.

    Here is the list of bank holidays in August 2023:

    – August 20: Sunday

    – August 26: Fourth Saturday

    – August 27: Sunday

    Please note that this holiday list is subject to change. Customers are advised to visit their respective bank branches for information regarding state-wise bank holidays. It is important to note that banks are closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month.

    Central government holidays apply to all banks, both public and private sectors. However, different banks may have varying holiday dates. ATMs and mobile banking services will still be available during these holidays.
