Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and IT Minister D Sridhar Babu met with Union Minister Jitan Ram Manji to request funds for industrial park development in the MSME sector. They also sought approval for plans to establish MSME parks across all 119 Assembly constituencies in the state.

At the meeting, Bhatti and Sridhar Babu explained the efforts made by the Telangana government to promote the MSME sector. They proposed creating two new MSME parks for small and medium businesses in Yendapally (Madhira mandal) and Remidicherla (Errupalem mandal) located in Khammam district. The Deputy CM shared that these parks would be built on 85 acres and 60 acres respectively.

He highlighted the strategic importance of these sites. Their closeness to National Highway 65 (Hyderabad–Vijayawada corridor) and good connections to nearby towns, railways, and ports make them ideal. The parks aim to increase job opportunities for local youth, especially from SC communities, by supporting various manufacturing sectors. They are expected to create at least 5,000 direct and 15,000 indirect jobs.

The ministers requested the Centre’s approval to submit project proposals under the MSME-CDP (Cluster Development Programme). This approval would enable financial support to develop parks in every Assembly constituency. These parks will feature small-scale factory complexes with infrastructure for small industrial units, promoting a favorable industrial environment. Facilities like hostels, kitchens, toilets, testing centers, and other common areas will be included. Additional support for business development, product innovation, and market strategy services will also be available.

Bhatti mentioned that under the MSME-CDP scheme, the Telangana government has completed 25 projects with help from the Union MSME Ministry. Now, they seek central support to set up MSME parks in each Assembly constituency. The Deputy CM and Industries Minister are confident that these efforts will position Telangana as a significant player in reaching India’s goal of a $30 trillion economy.
