Hyderabad: The head of Telangana’s BJP, N. Ramchander Rao, urged intellectuals to drive political change by supporting the BJP in the upcoming state elections. Speaking to intellectuals in Kodad during his tour of Nalgonda and Suryapet districts, Rao stressed using their knowledge and experience to push for a developed Telangana.
Rao believes intellectuals can clearly inform the public and combat misinformation. He encouraged them to educate citizens on policies and governance, promoting informed decisions in favor of the BJP.
Rao criticized the Congress government, led by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, for not fulfilling promises after 18 months. He called their “nine guarantees” misleading, saying they increased public debt and broke public trust.
He pointed out slow investigations into alleged corruption involving Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leaders, hinting at possible collusion between Congress and BRS.
Rao praised Narendra Modi’s government for its 11-year tenure of national growth. He highlighted the “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” mission for aiding marginalized communities and enhancing India’s global status. Key achievements included efficient service delivery and infrastructure development.
On the second day of his tour, Rao visited a temple in Nallabandagudem and the Saibaba temple before reaching Kodad. Farmers and BJP supporters warmly welcomed him with chants and garlands.
Rao also honored Telangana martyr Srikanth Chari by garlanding his statue, reinforcing the BJP’s respect for those who contributed to the state’s formation. He reaffirmed the party’s commitment to honoring these sacrifices.
The visit ended with Rao emphasizing the importance of intellectual engagement for political renewal. He called for active participation to ensure development-focused governance in Telangana.
