The BJP protested at Dharna Chowk in Telangana, demanding an inquiry into phone tapping allegations by the state government. BJP MP Laxman, who claims to be a victim of phone tapping, questioned the government’s use of questionable means for investigation.

During the protest, Laxman accused Chief Minister KCR of misusing surveillance systems for political gain. He alleged that phone tapping was used to manipulate voters and suppress opponents during by-elections, without approval from the Centre and in violation of the Telecom Regulatory Act.

Laxman also expressed suspicion that KCR may have made a corrupt deal with Congress leadership, leading to misuse of power. He called for the case to be handed over to the CBI to hold those responsible for illegal phone tapping accountable.
