The Telangana government is set to distribute Bhudar cards soon after the local elections, according to Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy. He announced this in a recent press conference, mentioning that the cards are ready, and a second survey will cover 373 villages after the elections.
Minister Reddy criticized the former administration, saying the Dharani system from K. Chandrashekar Rao’s time has been discarded. He praised the new Bhu Bharati Act, claiming it has public support. A pilot land survey was completed successfully in five villages.
At the Telangana Secretariat, Minister Reddy revealed the hiring of 6,000 Village Revenue Assistants and licensing of 3,490 surveyors for revenue villages. He stated that Rovers are being purchased to aid these surveyors. The Minister accused the previous government of damaging the revenue system and assured efforts to fix it. He also announced plans to build 59 modern sub-registrar offices.
