The Telangana government plans to issue Bhudar cards after the local elections, according to Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy. He mentioned that the cards are ready and a new survey will cover 373 villages not previously mapped.
Minister Reddy criticized the former administration led by K. Chandrashekar Rao. He claimed that the previous Dharani system is no longer effective. Under his leadership, the new Bhu Bharati Act is receiving positive feedback. A successful land survey was already completed in five unmapped villages.
Speaking at the Telangana Secretariat, Minister Reddy announced the hiring of 6,000 Village Revenue Assistants (VRAs) and licensing of 3,490 surveyors for the villages. Rovers will be provided to help these surveyors. He accused the last government of damaging the revenue system, but assured efforts to restore it. Plans for 59 new sub-registrar offices were also shared.
