BJP spokesperson Rani Rudrama criticized the State government for neglecting teachers. She claimed that teachers have been trying to meet with the Chief Minister to discuss their issues, but have been unsuccessful. There are also no education ministers, DEOs, MEOs, principals, teachers, or sanitation staff in schools.
Rani Rudrama accused the Congress government of mistreating SGTs by not promoting them. She questioned why one rule was applied for their appointment but a different rule for their promotions. SGTs were appointed during Rajiv Gandhi’s tenure to address the shortage of teachers, but are now being denied promotions.
Promotions for teachers are supposed to be based on both qualifications and service. However, SGTs who have served for many years have not received fair promotions.
