Gadwal:
During a press conference today at the DK Bungalow in Gadwal town, Jogulamba Gadwal District President, Ramachandra Reddy, called for the immediate arrest of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. He accused Jagan Mohan Reddy and related officials of desecrating the Tirupati Laddu, a sacred offering to Lord Venkateswara.
Ramachandra Reddy expressed his deep concern over recent media reports about the Tirupati Laddu. He highlighted that such incidents hurt the sentiments of millions of Hindus who hold Lord Venkateswara in high regard. Defiling the prasadam (holy offering) of the temple is, according to him, a serious offense that deserves strict punishment.
Reddy also criticized the promotion of non-Hindu interests within the Tirupati temple. He referred to past instances where the temple’s sanctity was allegedly compromised. One particular issue he mentioned was the claim that there are only three hills in Tirupati instead of the traditional seven, which he believes is an effort to damage the temple’s heritage.
Despite appeals from Hindu groups and the BJP, Reddy expressed disappointment that no government has taken effective measures to protect the sanctity of Tirupati. He called for the creation of a national “Temple Protection Council” to safeguard temples across India. He also demanded a thorough investigation into those responsible for desecrating the Tirupati Laddu.
Several other prominent figures attended the event, including District General Secretary Ravikumar Ekbote, Town President Bandala Venkata Ramulu, OBC Morcha District President Deva Dasu, IT Cell Convener Chittari Kiran, Councillor Rajaka Jayashree, BJP Yuva Morcha State Executive Member Delhiwala Krishna, OBC Morcha Town Vice President Dabbleti Narasimha, and senior BJP leader Lathipuram Ramireddy.
