Hyderabad: BJP MPs DK Aruna from Mahbubnagar and Eatala Rajender from Malkajgiri celebrated the Supreme Court’s decision to allow the classification of Scheduled Castes (SC). They called the decision historic.
DK Aruna expressed her happiness, stating, “We welcome this judgment given by the highest court of the country. The 30-year dream of SCs came true only with the initiative of the BJP government at the Centre.”
She added that the struggle for SC classification, led by the Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti (MRPS), has finally succeeded. She credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for fulfilling his promise before the elections and working hard on the SC categorization.
Aruna also said that the Supreme Court’s judgment disproves the Congress party’s claim that reservations would be removed if the BJP came to power. “This judgment is a clear example of the Modi government at the Centre keeping up its promise,” she emphasized.
She criticized the Congress and BRS governments for not supporting MRPS leader Manda Krishna Madiga and accused them of deceit.
BJP National Executive Member and MP Eatala Rajender also hailed the judgment as historic. He said it brings justice to the downtrodden communities after decades of struggle. “Congratulations to Manda Krishna Madiga who fought tirelessly and to everyone who took part in this struggle,” he stated.
Rajender further claimed that the BJP is the only party that can ensure social justice. He compared the SC categorization to other initiatives like the construction of the Ram Mandir and the abrogation of Article 370, which were carried out smoothly.
