Hyderabad: Prem Shukla, the BJP National Spokesperson, delivered an energetic speech at the Local Bodies Social Media Workshop on Sunday. He encouraged party members to gear up for the upcoming local body elections. Shukla emphasized that these elections are crucial for future wins in Assembly and Parliamentary contests. He stressed the importance of disciplined campaigning using technology and grassroots engagement.
Speaking to a crowded room of BJP members, Shukla announced that Telangana is ready for political change. He noted that the people have experienced governance by TDP, Congress, and BRS. Now, they are looking for the BJP to lead, presenting the party as a fresh alternative to the long-standing regional parties.
He highlighted Telangana’s significant role in the Ram Mandir movement. Shukla praised the dedication of the kar sevaks and urged for that same commitment in the upcoming elections. “Many from Telangana stood up for faith and justice; we need that same energy now,” he said.
Shukla criticized Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for misleading the public with “6 guarantees – 420 promises.” He accused Reddy of making over 50 visits to Delhi to please Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi instead of focusing on state issues.
Comparing to Congress-ruled Karnataka, Shukla pointed to recent corruption scandals involving cash, gold, and foreign currency linked to a Congress MLA. He alleged that Congress offices have turned into gambling spots and warned Telangana voters about potential misgovernance.
